AGM 25 Lottery Report

THE RON KENNEDY MEMORIAL LOTTERY

Report for the Year: October 2022 – September 2023

I would like to thank all of you who participated in the lottery over the past year, as it enables us to contribute to the funding of our organisation together with membership fees, the raffle and the monthly Friendship Lunches, as we do not receive funding from any other source.

With members’ continued support by buying lottery tickets to participate in the monthly lottery draw, we have managed to raise £149.25 in funding for the organisation. 22 members bought 71 numbers. Thank you for your generous support.

The prizes are worked out by halving the total sum for that month as the first prize, and 25% for both the second prize and to campaign funds. To win prizes and increase our funds, all the available numbers in the lottery should be taken; this would mean a first prize of £45, which is certainly worth one pound a share! I aim to ensure all 90 numbers are taken earlier each year, allowing more members to win more each month. Why not buy extra numbers to increase your chance of winning more prizes! It is a simple and profitable way to raise funds.

The lottery has raised £149.25 in the current year for SDPC funds, and a total of £447.75 has been won in prizes.

You can purchase available numbers of your choice from me either at a meeting or by post, and I will pay your winnings by cheque.

Good Luck!

Margaret Haydon,
Lottery Organiser
